Rugby Shirts and Synthesizers - Only in 1982!!

Probably the best video by guys in old school Rugby shirts ever!

You're not ever going to see anything like this on MTV ever again.

P-Doggy couldn't hold a candle to the likes of Collins & Co....

Do we even know what "Abacab" means?

Well, according to Wikipedia, "Abacab" comes from the note structure of the original song - A B A C A B. But that no longer holds true with the song on the record. But it's a good story.

And the horn sounds at the end?

EARTH, WIND AND FIRE!!

I still can't forgive a certain member of Genesis for the song "The Living Years".

Sorry.

The Worst Morning Radio Show in America: WKLS Atlanta

The wacky radio Morning Zoo is almost a cliche in comedy. It equals ultra-unfunny.

If you're promoting a book or something you have to go on these moronic, outdated, Morning Zoo shows and pretend to laugh at the idiotic things they say.

For the most part you dread it. Because your cliche wacky Morning Zoo radio team will:

1) Talk at you not to you.

2) Scream asinine shit over whatever you say.

3) Try to make sure they are funnier than you are. (After all, they wouldn't have their own wacky Morning Zoo if they weren't funny.)

4) Firmly believe the comedy theory:  loud = funny.

5) Always crack themselves up with their own jokes and moronic characters  devoid of how the rest of the world would react . (Probably high-fiving while doing such.)

There's also a lot of trying waaaaay too hard. Most likely all this will be done with the assistance of "wacky" bells, whistles, and sound effects. Freedom Haters experienced all of the above this week when I  got booked on "The Giant Show" on WKLS 96.1 in Atlanta........

Freedom Haters Salutes - The King of Pop!!

All hail the King of Pop!!

News of Jacson's passing reached Belfast here at about 12am local time. It was all over everyone's lips.

Even the normally reserved Black Taxi drivers were talking about it non-stop.

Yeah, he got a little a wierd towards the end there with the Jesus Juice and wahtnot, but there's no denying the power of the Prince of Pop!!

Freedom Haters salutes you, Michael Jackson.

As part of our tribute, we've unearthed a special suprise from the Internet for Freedom Haters everywhere.

Check it out after the jump

Freedom Haters Salutes - The Ventures!

Sad news from the "Now Who Died?!!!" Department....

Bob Bogle, co-founder and guitarist with The Ventures passed away this weekend.

We dug through the youtubes and pulled out a couple of cool clips.

Also found some interesting Ventures trivia and their connection to one of the biggest conspiracies of all time.

Cheap Trick Transforms John Lennon

Cheap Trick!!! Ahhhh yeah!!

I guess I'm the last person in the world to know this, but Cheap Trick (or a substantial portion thereof) played on the classic John Lennon album Double Fantasy.

Favorite quote from drummer Bun E. Carlos, "Yoko was a f**king bitch".

Check out the vids we've assembled for your pleasure after the jump....

EDITOR'S NOTE: According to their website, not only does Cheap Trick have a new album coming out this summer, but they're also doing the theme song for Transformers2. How on top of things are we here at Freedom Haters?!!!!

Pokerstars Good Luck Mojo iPod Shuffle.

Pokerstars' Euro Poker Tour in Monte Carlo was chocka-blocka full of celebs playing Texas Hold `Em for big bucks at the the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort. Music stars were especially in the mix. Yes, music is a big part of a poker tourney such as this. Such rappers as Nelly, The Dream, Christina Milian and indie rockers Joel Madden from Good Charlotte were there showing off their poker-chops.

Besides real, actual, music stars, what do professional poker players listen to on their iPods in order to psych themselves up to take home the big pot and amass big, colorful chips in front of them?

Nasty

Pretty awesomely-lame video of a Janet Jackson cover from the late 80s/early 90s.

Enjoy.
